3. Javed Rana
Javed Ahmed Rana, the elected representative for the Mendhar assembly constituency designated for Scheduled Tribes, has broad political experience. Prior to Jammu and Kashmir being designated as a Union Territory, he served in both the Legislative Assembly and the Legislative Council.
In the most recent surveys, Rana emerged as the clear winner with a considerable lead, securing 32,176 votes and triumphing over the BJP's contender.
Hailing from Kalaban village in the Poonch district, he holds degrees in arts and law from the University of Jammu.
4. Satish Sharma
Satish Sharma, an independent candidate, emerged victorious in the Chammb constituency by surpassing BJP leader Rajeev Sharma with a lead of 6,929 votes. Before being elected, he had backed the National Conference-Congress alliance but decided to stand as an independent candidate when Congress refused to give him a ticket.
Sharma is the son of Madan Lal Sharma, a well-known Congress leader and former Lok Sabha MP who has passed away.
